The Leo Club of Sunraysia are a group of 16 to 30 year olds in the Sunraysia district who are focused on supporting their community and its future.

President Katerina and myself are at ANZI 2014 in Adelaide this weekend. Today we have the 2 Leo forums which Katerina is a part of. Good to see so many Lions interested in the future of Leo’s around Australia.

The next Leo meeting will be held Wednesday 27th August at 6.30pm for a 7pm start at the MADEC Community College on Madden Ave. 

If you’ve ordered a coloured shirt they will be available for pick up at the meeting. Can members who haven’t already please remember to pay their subs that are now due.

BBQ Success for CHAILIS

Kat, Chris and Nik cooking up a storm

Despite the freezing cold weather during our last BBQ the Leo’s who went along had lots of fun. We raised $133 and the Leo Club are also topping that up so we will be sending John Burfitt $300 for the CHAILIS Program. John does a great job helping out sick children in the area and so we’re happy to show our support.

We would like to give a big thank you to Harvey Norman for once again allowing us to have these BBQ fundraisers. See you all at the next one!

Hello Sunraysia,

The Leo’s are holding a BBQ fundraiser at Harvey Norman next Saturday 2nd August. All money raised will go to John Burfitt’s CHAILIS charity which helps sick kids in the area. John came and spoke to the Leo’s a few months back when we were really just starting up and we were all moved by his dedication to the community.

BBQ Next Meeting!

Hey fellow Leos (and stalkers wanting to join the club), we’re shaking it up a bit for the next meeting this Wednesday 23rd July. It’ll be at the Irymple Lions shed which can be found at Henshilwood Reserve off Karadoc Ave 6.30pm for 7pm start. Bring along $10 and you shall be fed!! BBQ and desert I’ve been told. Please give our secretary Chris a call (or text) if you’re coming along so he can work out how many sausages he has to cook.
